More Than a "Gay Gene" Controlling the Media: It's New Age Heresy.

Check out the video link that was brought to our attention by one of our readers in response to our previous posting, The 'gay gene' controlling the media. Without a doubt, it lends credence to our skepticism and justifies not just our own bewilderment but also that of several readers who posted comments about the media's blatantly false editorial positioning in the illusory farce concerning Thomas Beatie, a seriously confused "transgendered" woman, who is being heralded—and, thereby, validated—not only by Oprah but also by such publications as People magazine as the world's first "pregnant man". Now the fundamental issues raised by this unseemly event weren't particularly difficult to grasp. In fact, one poster to The Telegraph’s coverage of the Beatie affair— “Dom”— summarized the entire fiasco best:

"It's absurd the extent to which western society has its notions of gender and sex confused. Come on, surely no one in their right mind really thinks this person is a man. Genetically she is a woman, and she can take hormones as much as she wants but it doesn't change a thing. Only the most superficial of societies would kid itself that removing your breasts and taking hormones stopped you being a woman. It's what's inside that counts, in the nucleus of every cell in her body. Do women who have breasts removed because of cancer become men? Of course not - it's a horribly offensive idea. Is a man an elephant because deep inside he feels mentally and emotionally like an elephant? Of course not - every one of the billions of cells in his body has human DNA, and XY chromosomes. He's a man! This individual is a woman.”

So why couldn’t the media see this issue as clearly? In our last essay, we argued that, perhaps, it is because the media has an entirely different agenda in perpetuating these kinds of falsehoods—an agenda that is now almost inseparable from the LBGT agenda to desensitize and convert straight America into believing that their issues have a genetic basis and arise from anything but deviant behavior. But, as this You Tube video shows, the truth appears to have even more sinister implications. We can no longer listen to people like Oprah or swallow the media's increasingly ambivalent moral stance on such important issues like homosexuality and gay marriage and not realize there is another agenda afoot. Increasingly, we are being asked, if not legislated, to accept the kind of “tolerance” and “cultural diversity” that effectively renders us amoral as a society and to set aside as inferior or, at the very least, outdated and irrelevant those foundational Judeo-Christian teachings, which declare the existence of absolute truths and God as the source of moral values. For, indeed, in Oprah's mind and those of her ilk, they have surely evolved to what they have deemed a "higher plane of consciousness" that denies even the existence of sin! Seriously.

And so, we are thankful for pragmatic people like columnist Frank Pastore who defined in his recent article, Questions that Bother Oprah and Today's New Age Thinkers, that the real issue, ultimately, is not about whether Oprah Winfrey, Eckhart Tolle or Marianne Williamson are good, smart, nice, well-intentioned, or even sincere people. The concern is about the ideas they hold— since good, smart, nice, well-intentioned, sincere people can hold false beliefs and be sincerely wrong about all kinds of things. Sometimes, even the most important things. And the real misfortune arises when people like these have unlimited access to a microphone and a virtual platform that can reach the entire world. Indeed, Pastore writes:

". . . I have questions about their worldview. A worldview is made up of the answers we give to life’s most fundamental and profound questions. It includes the answers we give to questions of philosophy, religion, ethics and theology. And they are questions that have been asked and answered by every culture in world history. When comparing and contrasting religions, worldview categories are the most basic level of inquiry. If you know a person’s worldview, you know a whole lot about them. Oftentimes, you even know more about their thinking processes than they do.

Right now, Oprah is co-teaching an online class with author Eckhart Tolle, based upon her current Book of the Month, his “A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose.” And, Oprah’s promoting a daily radio show on her XM channel featuring Marianne Williamson teaching from “A Course in Miracles.” Both Tolle and Williamson are New Age thinkers. Oprah says she’s a Christian—arguing that she can reconcile “her” Christianity with what they’re teaching. If she’s a Christian, she’s an ignorant one, because Christianity is incompatible with New Age thought. . . "

Pastore goes on to compare and contrast New Age thought with traditional Judeo-Christian principles and it is important that we acquaint ourselves fully with the differences. To be sure, such an exercise cleans the filter through which we ought to be examining the real issues behind many of the critical sociopolitical and moral debates taking place in our world today. Even more importantly, it ought to give us insight regarding the consequences of our spiritual and moral apathy as well as our inaction with respect to taking a decisive stand on the evils permeating our culture through skillful marketing techniques.

Through his article, Moral Absolutes: Judeo-Christian Values Dennis Prager reminds us:

"Nothing more separates Judeo-Christian values from secular values than the question of whether morality — what is good or evil — is absolute or relative. In other words, is there an objective right or wrong, or is right or wrong a matter of personal opinion?

In the Judeo-Christian value system, God is the source of moral values and therefore what is moral and immoral transcends personal or societal opinion. Without God, each society or individual makes up its or his/her moral standards. But once individuals or societies become the source of right and wrong, right and wrong, good and evil, are merely adjectives describing one's preferences. This is known as moral relativism, and it is the dominant attitude toward morality in modern secular society. . . "

Indeed, what Oprah is proposing through her New Age teachings goes well beyond editorial positioning or a relativist stance on moral issues. Pastore writes that the New Age Movement is intellectually and spiritually bankrupt, yet it is making Tolle and Williamson—and especially Oprah—a whole bunch of money. But, in our minds, what Oprah and her media friends are proposing is sheer heresy!

You've hit the hammer right on the nail. Despite all of Oprah's philantropic works and humanitarianism, she has deviated from her faith in an effort to "diversify" her scope of thinking, and is dragging the rest of America with her in the process.

I cannot believe the ignorance of this woman! The Bible is very clear in Exodus 20 about what the Lord is jealous about and unless Oprah considers herself at this stage "other gods" or "an idol" the omnipresent and omniscient God is not and will never be jealous of HER. To have such an opinion reflects a seriously inflated ego!!! Before his fall, Lucifer also had the same issue, and Oprah would be well-advised to put herself in check.

This is exactly how most cults like the Jehovah's Witnesses start...they take just one word or a part of the scriptures and twist it to reduce Jesus Christ to their own image of him or to "a god" instead of GOD incarnate. But Jesus Christ was either a liar, or he was who he said he was and when all the debate is over that is what we all have to decide for ourselves...was he whom he said he was? Many religions like Islam have reduced Christ to being just a "good man" or a "prophet". But the gospel of John records many of Christ's claims about who He was, and among his many claims he said: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. If you really knew me, you would know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him."

Wow, its pretty scary that Oprah is leading Americans to this New Age belief system. This is what happens to many people that becomes so rich - they began to dissect everything in the "Word" to justify their wrongdoing. It's like a mad scientist replicating a humanbeing.

Many people who are gay dont want to be that way hence the anguish they face. I agree with your previous article too that suggests that more studies need to be done on those gays that successfully moved away from that lifestyle. Some others can be equated to prostitutes being controlled or enticed by money or some other factor missing in their life .... which keeps them rooted in that lifestyle. But, as for ALL those claiming to be bisexual .....that is definitely deviant behaviour, and deviant behaviour would not only be visible in that aspect of their life but in other spheres as well.

Yes definitely a return to Christian values is needed.

Oprah and her type are the deceiving "angels of light" who are wolves in sheep's clothing. Those of us old enough to have seen this type again and again over the years recognize them. Many are fooled and find them exciting...even messianic. But they are as tedious as they are dangerous.

What is scary is that with this kind of cult-like following, Oprah is easily THE most powerful woman on television, and as such she is perfectly capable of indoctrinating and discipling those who are looking for easy answers and who do not want to do the work to find out the truth for themselves. I am 100% certain that there are many many more people who watch Oprah every day than those who have opened the Scriptures once for the entire year. The consciousness and awakening that Tolle is teaching about can be accomplished through medtitation on the Word of GOD...not the word of Tolle's "A New Earth". But how would people know if they haven't bothered to pick it up???

This kind of spiritual deception is possible today because people aren't even attempting anymore to live holy lives and they're going to be led astray by any and every next best thing that keeps the staus quo of their own sinful lifestyles. This is a woman who lives with a man to whom she is not and has no intention of marrrying and who condones other people's sinful lifestyles, including this pregnant "man's" delusion as "living their own truth". What utter rubbish...and what absolute trouble we're all in if we don't snap out of our lethargy and realize where the media is wanting to take us. Thank you for this expose as well as the last two entries you've posted on homosexuality and the LGBT agenda through the media. Amazing work.

"...Is a man an elephant because deep inside he feels mentally and emotionally like an elephant?..."

Love the analogy...hilarious...yet so profound! I wonder if I should take to jumping off cliffs because, really, I am convinced since I was very young that I am a bird....see me f-l-y-y-y-y-y-...crash...bam....call me an ambulance pleasee! Funny, really.

All cults share the same premise; they misrepresent the nature of God and ultimately reduce God to their own image, not what He has already declared Himself to be. Right now, Oprah is like a kid with a grenade... a "suicide bomber" who is so earnest and sincere in his belief system that he's willing to die for the cause and to take with him as many people as possible who are in close proximity. This "awakening" Eckhart Tolle movement all seems part and parcel of that one-world system of government and religion that the cultural elite would like to install for the rest of us, which really would give them the ultimate power. And the seriousness of this issue is correcly reflected in the last line of your previous blog entry... unless we wake up it will be he who controls the media that will control the world.

As the saying goes, who died and made Oprah queen...in this case ....GOD? Her views and that of her cohorts are those of arrogance.....but remembering that pride/arrogance is a deadly sin we already know what comes after.

My mother-in-law had a saying that "when bajac (a normally crawling insect)ready to dead(die) it grow wings"....and you can already see that Oprah is losing her audience appeal...

This is a classic example of what we have been warned against through several different authors in several different books over several hundreds of years in the "Master piece" we now call The Bible. God repeatedly commanded His people to remain separate, i.e. not to go chasing after other gods because He knows how easily deceived we are and the confusion that can arise when different belief systems try to blend into one "acceptable" format. How many times did God remove His hedge of protection and abundance from the people of Israel for their disobedience in this matter? Countless times...and always His people went through severe hardships and trials until they had their true "AHA moment" and returned to the one true God.

Oprah's fate will be no different because she has not only abandoned her Judeo-Christian faith to chase after other gods, she has also become a "false teacher" of the kind that we have been warned would be plentiful in these times.

Thank you for verbalizing and giving perspective to something that just hasn't sat right in my gut for a very long time regarding the way homosexuals are now being portrayed in the media. They are everywhere(!!) ...on every talk show, entertainment mag, soap opera, sitcom, drama... and now I understand why. It is scary to think how much we have lost our sense of decency and even more shameful that we have done so through such pied pipers as Oprah Winfrey who we have elevated to such positions of high esteem. It is time for America to wake up and take back the media...just don't support them....don't buy them, don't watch them. The truth will eventually float like oil in water every time.

This is not a war between gay and straight America. This is a war on bigotry, pure and simple. We should all just be loving each other, and appreciating and celebrating individuality (being who we are, not pretending to be like everyone else). As a heterosexual 21 year-old woman i can't say that i'm completely comfortable with seeing homosexual couples in public or even in the media- but i celebrate them and their various expressions of themselves.

It is not "discrimination" or "bigotry" to call something evil, evil. To disgaree with gays and lesbians does not mean you are "scared" of anyone or have a "phobia" either. But that's the ignorant kind of logic permeating our present is-Britney-wearing-panties-today culture. We are so taken by the intellectual sounding but shallow rhetoric being spouted to the masses by the likes of an Oprah Winfrey and her cohorts that the bigger picture is escaping us. We are so far along in the brainwashing process that some of our young "anonymous" people can no longer call evil, evil, much less recognize it! This is a good indication that the MARKETING STRATEGIES of LGBT aligned media houses like People magazine and Harpo is working! They keep us busy with the shallow nonsense of Hollywood's latest ventures and products that we don't even contemplate any more the serious issues that will eventually affect our freedoms. All this to say, a human right is intrinsic and should always be fought for. Social acceptance of an unhealthy lifestyle that has proven to have serious health consequences for the rest of nation is not something to be "celebrated" or even remotely considered altruistic.

I just came across your publication on Google and I wanted to let you know how relieved I am to see that celebrity journalism can be done in a responsible way that doesn't buy into the kind of Hollywood hype and culture that is passing as journalism today. Keep up the good work!
